I had my first Skype conversation all the way to Paris with Fabien who will very soon arrive in Japan! Him and his mate, also called Fabien, are coming next week for a month and half for a hitch hiking trip across Japan from Okinawa to Tokyo! Their journey can be followed on their brand new FB page 'Happy Onigiri". www.facebook.com/pages/Happy-Onigiri/353922498026505

Today I discovered that my subway line goes directly to Harajuku, the Camden of  Tokyo but pinker and with more bunnies. I can be there in less than thirty minutes which is potentially very dangerous for my purse!

Daiso, the famous japanese pound shop, oh joy!

I found nearly everything I needed at Daiso, I just need to go back for a few practical things to help me keep my little room tidy.

They had black cotton buds, I nearly bought them just to prove I had not been dreaming!

On my way to school I saw two teenage boys wearing school girls uniforms on two separate occasions... At first I thought they were wearing a kilt or that they were not very gifted girls but at a second glance they were definitely boys having swapped their uniforms for girls' ones... I am yet to see the opposite.

After the class, I explored a bookshop that caught my eye earlier on. Every time I walk in a bookshop I'm worried to be looking around in the wrong aisle, making it obvious that a) I am a totally illiterate or b) I'm just a pervert. Not sure which is worse really...

I spent the rest of the evening taking photos in Ueno park until I got accosted by an old pervert who thought we should go somewhere together... A cat without a tail, or sadly not much left, zoomed passed me and nestled at the foot of a tree. I followed him quietly and he was still enough for me to experiment long exposure shots with my camera.

Picture taken in near pitch dark with a 15 seconds exposure.

Ugh about the pervert, I never had any trouble in Japan but then I'm big and mean looking!
Japanese 100 yen shops! I remember them with fondness. :)

I was dressed like a potato bag so clearly he was just after any company he could get! Harmless though :)
