Kensal Green Cemetery Open Day 2009

  • Jul. 4th, 2009 at 7:48 PM

Thank you all for coming today to Kensal Green! It was an early start for [info]demondaz  and myself carrying all the jewellery along with the table and chair but we made it in one piece!

I wanted to take more pictures but I did not have a minute for myself all day and am only now enjoy the picnic I prepared on my bed!

Your stall looked really beautiful and professional and the wares were amazing. Well done you. I hope you now get to enjoy the fruits of your labours;-)Lovelly to see you both. Yes, it is a long day, but not having a minute to yourself is proof of the popularity of what you have to sell and so a compliment.I too ate our picnic last year in the car on the way home!See you at the party in July.

Thank you so much! Yes, it was hard work for the past few months but it finally paid off today and hopefully it will at Brompton too although I have less friends there!

Glad to know I am not the only one who had a warm picnic indoors after the party! Haha! Darren bought me one of those delicious piece of cake make by those sweet grannies so all was not lost! It took me three hours to eat it though... ^-^'

Take good care and see you soon :D

Absolutely wonderful! I think that the piece of cloth (taffeta?) that you chose for your table is stunning ... and your wares are, as always, just gorgeous!!

Was that a tomb you were set up in front of? If so, who was it? I'm curious! :)

Kensal Green looks like a place where I could lose myself for HOURS! :)

Thank you very much!!
Yes it is taffeta, I fell in love with this colour whilst browsing the hundreds of colours they had in the shop. I was worried it would overpower the jewellery but I think it actually worked quite well :)

Unfortunately I can't remember whose sculpture it is in the background... Kensal Green Cemetery is a beautiful cemetery, a very green, peaceful and refreshing place in London.

The burial place of Emmeline Pankhurst and Val Prinsep?!! ... eeeeee! ... that makes me really really happy!! :) Oh you have just too much fun over there!!

When I was in Oxford a few years back, I remember being quite taken with the way that cemeteries are blended with the public park idea in the UK ... so wonderful! I snapped this pic ... http://i701.photobucket.com/albums/ww13/penelopenut/Bits%20and%20Pieces/11OxfordCemetery.jpg ... at St. Giles ... I was completely charmed by the "Litter" box! :)

Yes, I think your beautiful creations looked stunning on that gorgeous turquoise taffeta ... and it does sound like you had a successful day ... well done! :)

I'm so sorry I couldn't see your stall dear but I had other plans. I hope that I'll be able to pop by some time soon as see your wares in person though ;)

Awww no worries Nadia! I noticed you were not there and figured you had plans but I am sure we will manage to see each other soon.
I have another stall at Brompton Cemetery Open Day and at
"Voyage to the Underworld" in two weeks, maybe I will see you there :)
